With summer around the corner, I know a lot of girls and guys are panicking about getting themselves in shape. This is just a gentle reminder to not get too fanatical about it and to love the shape you’re already in. You might be able to whittle your body fat down a bit and maybe build some muscle through eating well and training hard, but remember to appreciate the shape you were blessed with – don’t hate it because it doesn’t look like Gisele Bundchen’s. I spent so many years hiding my body under sarongs and trying not to move too much on the beach for fear of letting all the wobbles out – my favourite position on the beach used to be lying flat on my back, stomach sucked in. No more. Get up and about, swim in the surf, play beach ball, or volleyball, take a walk in your bikini and be grateful for what your mamma gave you. Let’s all have a summer of fun rather than a summer of fear. Happy Thursday!
