These are my top ten things to do in the Midlands (in no particular order):
1. Have tea and scones at Granny Mouse’s Country House. And then stay for dinner. And if you can’t drive home, stay the night. Bliss :)
2. Cheesecake at Blueberry Hill Cafe. Legendary.
3. Have sushi and cocktails at Sapore on a sunny Sunday. If you stay until after the sun goes down (as I often do), then treat yourself to one of their famous pizza’s. I highly recommend The Dizzy or Pablo The Mexican. Or The Ninja… they’re all amazing!
4. Play putt-putt at Piggly Wiggly on a quiet afternoon, with a glass of wine (or two) from Meander Fine Wines. Do not, I reapeat, DO NOT attempt to do this on a public holiday!
5. Receive a full body massage from Colleen at Midlands House of Healing
6. Stay at the five star Fordoun Hotel and Spa and treat yourself to a session in their floatation tank.
7. Have a yummy Italian lunch at La Lampara. With a bottle of wine, obviously.
8. Party until the wee hours of the morning at Notties Pub.
9. Treat yourself to a fabulous five course dinner at Hartford House with one of our nation’s top chefs, Jackie Cameron.
10. Breakfast at Cafe Bloom – I recommend the Eggs Benedict. TO DIE FOR.
Yep… this is one of those lazy sunny Sundays at Sapore… VERY festive.
Thank you SO MMMMUUUCCCCHHHH
